Nickelodeon is set to make a significant presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year with a multi-faceted "slime-soaked" event. The network will offer two distinct experiences for attendees: the "Fun-Ergy Factory" located within the convention center and an expansive outdoor activation called "Fun Flows Here" at The New Children’s Museum’s park.
At the "Fun-Ergy Factory," situated at booth #4113, fans will engage in interactive challenges designed to generate "fun-ergy," culminating in a large-scale "Slime Surge." This area will also feature "Enter the Splat," an immersive environment for capturing photo and video moments inspired by Nickelodeon's popular franchises. Additionally, visitors can find a sewer lair photo opportunity with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and purchase exclusive merchandise. This includes TMNT x G.I. Joe collectible figures, BossLogic x Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Character limited edition art prints, and the Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 3: Fire vinyl soundtrack. The "Fun-Ergy Factory" will also host talent and character appearances, alongside daily giveaways.
The "Fun Flows Here" activation, located at 200 W. Island Ave., will be free to the public from Thursday, July 23, through Sunday, July 26. This outdoor space will feature an interactive stage show presented by Kids Imagine Nation, with performances and games themed around series such as Paw Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Thundermans, and Star Trek: Scouts. Attendees can look forward to shareable photo installations featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the Kids’ Choice Awards. A signature Nickelodeon slime booth will offer select fans the chance to be drenched in the network's iconic green goo. A screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is scheduled for Friday, July 25, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The area will also include hands-on activities like make-your-own slime, bubble play, live character drawing demonstrations, DJ sets, and prize raffles. Museum members will be granted early access to a special preview event on Thursday, July 23. Note that The New Children's Museum will be closed to the public from July 21 to July 26, reopening on July 27.
San Diego Comic-Con officially runs from Wednesday, July 22 (preview night) to Sunday, July 26.
