Amazon has launched its early Black Friday promotion for Audible, offering new and previous subscribers three months of Audible Standard for $0.99 per month, along with a $20 Audible credit. This deal runs from now until December 28.

After the promotional period, the subscription will revert to the standard $8.99 per month fee, but subscribers can cancel the auto-renewal at any time. The offer appears to be available to both Amazon Prime and non-Prime members, though some users reported it not appearing for their accounts.

Audible offers two subscription tiers: Standard and Premium Plus. The Standard plan costs $8.95 per month and provides access to over 1.1 million audiobooks. It includes one free audiobook per month that remains accessible as long as the membership is active. The Premium Plus tier is priced at $14.95 per month and includes access to the same vast library plus an additional "Plus" catalog of about 150,000 books, as well as one free audiobook per month that users keep indefinitely.

The Standard subscription is generally considered the better value unless the indefinite ownership of audiobooks is a priority. Popular series such as "Dungeon Crawler Carl," "The Hunger Games," and "The Stormlight Archive" are available within the Standard collection.

Notable audiobooks available through Audible include the "Dungeon Crawler Carl" LitRPG series, with its first three installments accessible for $0.99 under this deal. Rebecca Yarros' "The Empyrean" series, a romantasy novel that has seen significant success, is also available. Additionally, the latest "Hunger Games" novel, "Sunrise on the Reaping," and Brandon Sanderson's "Wind and Truth," the fifth book in "The Stormlight Archive" series, are part of the extensive library.
