KPop Demon Hunters has officially joined the Criterion Collection, and the new release is already available at a 50% discount. This significant price reduction is part of The Criterion Collection's November sale, which functions as its annual Black Friday event, offering 50% off all previously released titles through the end of the month.

The movie, which premiered this past Tuesday, narrowly qualifies for the sale, making it the lowest price available for its home entertainment editions. The 4K UHD version is priced at $24.99, down from $49.95, while the Blu-ray is available for $19.99, reduced from $39.99, and the DVD costs $14.99, down from $29.99. These prices apply across hundreds of DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K editions from the Criterion Collection sold through Barnes & Noble.

The Criterion edition features new artwork by Ami Thompson, a character designer on the film, depicting the main characters using their weapons in an aerial attack. The release also includes a new making-of documentary, multiple video essays, and collectible postcards with original illustrations by artists involved in the film's production. Bonus features also include a full feature-length animatic with an introduction by directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, lyric videos, a trailer, and English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as English descriptive audio. An essay by critic Karen Han is also included.

KPop Demon Hunters, originally a Netflix Original, achieved significant success, breaking multiple streaming records and earning various awards. While a sequel has been announced with a theatrical release planned for 2029, this Criterion release marks the latest home media availability for the popular film.
