Action Romance Anime Marriage Toxin Confirmed for Season 2 in 2027

Fans of action romance anime will have a new season of Marriagetoxin to look forward to in 2027. Bandai Namco and Shueisha confirmed the second season during the June 30 airing of the first season's 13th and final episode. The series, animated by Bones Film, blends romantic comedy elements with high-stakes action sequences. It follows Gero, a member of the Poison Master clan, who volunteers for the dating world to find a partner after his sister faces an arranged marriage. He is advised by Mei Kinosaki, a marriage swindler, who eventually realizes Gero's true charm lies in his selfless desire to help others. This leads to Gero being sent on protection missions to find a potential partner. The show features a cast of unique heroines, including an art thief, a shy magic enthusiast, and a member of the Beast Clans. Several animators known for their work on "My Hero Academia" contributed to Marriagetoxin, including Yutaka Nakamura for an ultimate battle sequence. The entire key staff, including director Motonobu Hori, series composer Kimiko Ueno, character designer Kohei Tokuoka, and music composers Taisei Iwasaki and Yuma Yamaguchi, are set to return for the second season. The Marriagetoxin manga has been serialized in Shōnen Jump Plus since April 2022 and has compiled 17 volumes. As the first season adapted only up to partway through volume six, there is ample material remaining for future seasons of the anime.
