Amazon Prime Video is bolstering its library in September with a diverse range of new content, including popular anime, returning fan favorites, and new original series. The streaming service will see the addition of the complete Demon Slayer anime series and a new spin-off from the hit Jack Reacher franchise.
Among the notable arrivals is the animated series "Over the Garden Wall," set to debut on September 1. This Cartoon Network series is noted for its blend of whimsical animation with darker, autumnal themes, making it a fitting watch as the season transitions. The film "Chef," a 2014 release starring and directed by Jon Favreau, also arrives on September 1. It follows a chef's journey of self-discovery through food and family.
For fans of the supernatural, the 2004 film "Van Helsing," starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale, will be available starting September 1. The month's anime offerings are significantly boosted by the arrival of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," with seasons one through four, along with "Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train," available from September 15. The "Demon Slayer" series centers on a teenage boy's quest to avenge his family and save his sister by becoming a demon hunter.
A new original series, "Neagley," will premiere on September 16, coinciding with the finale of "Reacher" Season 4. The spin-off focuses on private investigator Frances Neagley as she investigates a friend's suspicious death, with Jack Reacher himself making a guest appearance. The romantic drama "The Love Hypothesis," based on Ali Hazelwood's novel, is also set to arrive on September 23.
The full list of September releases includes a wide array of films and series, spanning genres from action to comedy and drama. Other notable additions include "A Serious Man," "Army of Darkness," "Borat," "The Silence of the Lambs," and "The Thing," all arriving on September 1. Sports fans can look forward to live events such as ONE Championship, NWSL soccer matches, MLB games, and Thursday Night Football throughout the month.
