Apple TV+ is set to launch a slate of new original content in September, featuring a mix of returning fan favorites and new series and films. The streamer's upcoming schedule includes the premiere of the action-comedy film "Mayday," the debut of the mystery drama "Last Seen," and the continuation of popular shows like "Ted Lasso" and "Slow Horses."
New Premieres This September
Kicking off the month on September 4 is "Mayday," an action-comedy set during the Cold War. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Lieutenant Troy "Assassin" Kelly, a U.S. Navy pilot who finds himself stranded behind enemy lines. He is discovered by former KGB agent Nikolai Ustinov, portrayed by Kenneth Branagh, leading to an unlikely spy movie that blends action with humor.
"Last Seen," a six-part series adapted from Ryan David Jahn's novel "The Dispatcher," premieres on September 9. The story centers on former detective Ian Ridley, played by Patrick Brammall, who is still grappling with the disappearance of his daughter over a decade ago. His life takes a turn when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl whom he suspects might be his long-lost child.
The sixth season of the spy thriller "Slow Horses" debuts on September 16, with the series already renewed for a seventh season. The show, starring Gary Oldman, has been praised for its sharp writing, dark humor, and tense action. The new season's trailer teases the return of Olivia Cooke's character.
Premiering on September 23, "Brothers" is a comedy series that plays on the long-standing rumors of a secret familial connection between stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The series features fictionalized versions of themselves, exploring their friendship and the revelation of a potential sibling bond. The premiere will feature the first two episodes, with subsequent episodes released weekly.

Alongside these new additions, Apple TV+ will continue to air new episodes of "Ted Lasso" Season 4 and "Dark Matter" Season 2. "Women in Blue" will also continue its second season. This month also marks the season finale of the sci-fi series "Silo," setting the stage for its final season next year.
