A new character, Tagah, voiced by Dave Bautista, is introduced as a seemingly allied airbender who wishes to collaborate with Aang and Team Avatar to locate an ancient power crucial for the survival of the Air Nomads. However, the trailer hints at a potential betrayal, showing Tagah wielding a red weapon while Aang declares his intention to "fix it."
Team Avatar also faces an archer seeking to acquire bending abilities for herself. The film's creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, appear to be blending epic action with the characteristic camaraderie of the "Avatar" universe.
