Paramount+ has announced that Avatar: Seven Havens will debut exclusively on the streaming service on October 9. The release date was revealed during the Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, where a teaser trailer for the series was also shown.

Seven Havens is a new 2D animated series developed by Avatar creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. All 26 episodes will be available on October 9. The story centers on a young Earthbender who becomes the new Avatar after Korra, in a world reeling from a catastrophic event. In this new era, the title of Avatar is seen as a harbinger of destruction rather than salvation. The protagonist and her long-lost twin are pursued by both human and spirit adversaries as they seek to uncover their origins and protect the Seven Havens from civilization's final collapse.

Last year's San Diego Comic-Con saw Konietzko introduce the Earthbender character, named Pavi, along with her cat monkey companion, Geet, and her Airbender mentor, Jae. The characters reside in a city called Allura.

Konietzko has described Avatar: Seven Havens as a departure from previous entries, stating, "We like to change up the style. We like to make each project its own thing. As you can see, it still feels like Avatar, but the world is very different. You'll have to tune in to find out why."

The news about Avatar: Seven Havens arrives just days before the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender film, which was originally slated for theatrical release on October 9, is also set to launch on Paramount+.
