Clayface secured second place at the domestic box office during the Halloween weekend, falling just short of the Elizabeth Holmes documentary "You Can See Everything." The Fielder and Oppenheim film earned an estimated $10.6 million, while the DCU movie brought in $10.4 million. Final tallies may shift these positions.

Globally, however, Clayface leads with $22.8 million, benefiting from "You Can See Everything's" limited international release. The documentary's performance marks an impressive feat, especially considering it is only in its third weekend and has garnered significant positive word-of-mouth and critical acclaim, including a 10/10 from IGN. It has also become Letterboxd's highest-rated feature film ever.

In its second weekend, "You Can See Everything" saw a modest 43% drop in domestic earnings, while Clayface experienced a 57% decrease. Both films operate with relatively modest budgets; "You Can See Everything" reportedly cost less than $20 million for production and marketing, and Clayface had a production budget of around $44 million. To date, "You Can See Everything" has grossed $64 million, with Clayface's global total reaching $82.9 million.

Clayface, which introduces a lesser-known Batman villain with a tragic past, is seen as a significant release for DC Studios' DCU, following earlier setbacks. The film's origin story appears to be performing adequately so far, with its theatrical run expected to continue increasing its total earnings.

In other box office news, "Resident Evil" climbed to fourth place globally over the Halloween weekend, reaching $400 million against its $75 million budget. Laika's "Wildwood" earned $11.54 million worldwide in its second weekend, bringing its total to $35.17 million against a $100 million budget.

Looking ahead, upcoming releases include "Godzilla Minus Zero" on November 6, "I Play Rocky" and "The Cat in the Hat" this weekend, "Dune" and "Dune Part 3" re-releases on November 13, "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" on November 20, and "Focker In-Law" on November 25. IGN's review of Clayface awarded it a 7/10.
