The animated series Creature Commandos is set to expand its roster in season two with several new recruits joining the unconventional team. DC Animation revealed that The Bride will lead the charge alongside Eric Frankenstein, Doctor Phosphorus, and Weasel. G.I. Robot will also return with a redesigned, bulkier appearance, noted producer Rick Morales as having a significant character arc this season.
Key additions to the squad include King Shark, whose backstory will be explored in the new season, mirroring his appearance in James Gunn's live-action The Suicide Squad. Khalis, a mummy with healing and potentially resurrection capabilities, joins the team as a kindly older figure, often seen knitting. The series will also introduce Nosferata, a young woman transformed into a vampire through experimentation. Her design evolved from various inspirations, including goth and rave aesthetics, with creators likening her final look to pop artist Charli XCX. Nosferata's dynamic with The Bride is described as highly contentious.
While Warner Bros. has not yet announced a release date for Creature Commandos season two, it is anticipated to arrive next year.
