Critical Role Dungeon Master Matt Mercer has gained a newfound appreciation for virtual YouTubers, or vtubers, following the announcement of a collaboration between the popular Dungeons & Dragons actual play group and Hololive. The partnership will manifest as a six-episode miniseries titled "Shattered Legends," set to debut later this month.
Mercer stated that the experience of working with Hololive's talent provided him with a "deeper understanding and appreciation" for the unique craft of vtubing. The miniseries is expected to explore the intersection of Critical Role's established storytelling prowess with the vibrant personalities and digital personas of Hololive's vtubers.
