The world of Night City is set to expand once more with the announcement of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, slated for release in Fall 2026. This standalone anime, a follow-up to the critically acclaimed first season, promises a raw and unforgiving look at the dystopian metropolis.
The series will introduce a new ensemble of characters navigating the treacherous streets where survival depends on ruthlessness and a single misstep can lead to a fatal outcome. CD PROJEKT RED and Studio TRIGGER are once again collaborating on the project, with Kai Ikarashi returning as director. Kanno Ichigo will serve as lead designer, while Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor is onboard as showrunner, story writer, and producer.
The trailer music features an original score by Tsuneo Imahori and the track "You Can't Run From Me," written by Maria Kelly and Drew Polovick, performed by Rico Nasty, and produced by Drew Polovick. The series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix.
