The remake of the Dragon Ball Super anime, titled Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, is set to premiere on Fuji TV on October 11. Fans in the United States will have an early opportunity to view the first episode at a world-premiere screening on October 8 during a special panel at New York Comic Con 2026.

A "super surge trailer" released alongside the announcement provides an extensive look at the remake's visuals and scope. The trailer indicates that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will adapt the God of Destruction Beerus arc, the Resurrection 'F' arc, and the God of Destruction Champa arc. This coverage effectively encompasses the first two Dragon Ball Super films, Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F', along with approximately the first 46 episodes of the original anime series, excluding filler content.

The remake will feature new opening and ending themes: "Onogami" by Megatera - Zero and "Kan Peki No Peki" by VK Blanka, respectively. These new musical pieces aim to capture the energy and excitement of the original while offering a fresh sound.

Subtle narrative differences have been noted by fans, such as a scene in the trailer depicting Goku using his Super Saiyan God form before transforming into Super Saiyan Blue during his battle with Frieza, a detail absent from the Resurrection 'F' movie. Such distinctions are significant for dedicated fans of the franchise.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will occupy the same broadcast slot on Fuji TV as One Piece. This programming decision follows One Piece's recent shift to a seasonal release schedule, suggesting a potential alternation between the two series on the network.

The New York Comic Con panel on October 8 will include English dub voice actors Jason Douglas (Beerus), Ian Sinclair (Whis), and Monica Rial (Bulma). Following its Japanese debut, the anime is expected to become available on Crunchyroll. The extent to which the subsequent Galactic Patrol arc, also known as the Moro arc, will follow immediately after Beerus remains unconfirmed.
