Prime Video's adaptation of the Fallout video game series is bolstering its cast for the upcoming third season. Manny Jacinto, known for his role in "The Good Place," Emily Mortimer from "The Newsroom," and Thomasin McKenzie of "Jojo Rabbit" have all been added to Season 3 in recurring capacities, as reported by Deadline and confirmed by the show's official social media channels. These new additions will join a returning ensemble that includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins, who starred in the first two seasons. Aaron Paul, previously confirmed to reprise his role, is also returning for the new season.
Production for Fallout Season 3 is slated to commence this month in Los Angeles. Specific details regarding the characters that Jacinto, Mortimer, and McKenzie will portray have not yet been revealed. The Fallout TV show has become Prime Video's most significant gaming adaptation to date. The streaming service also has other video game adaptations in development, including "God of War," with Ryan Hurst set to play Kratos, and "Tomb Raider," which will feature Sophie Turner as Lara Croft.
Meanwhile, the Fallout game franchise itself continues to expand, with Fallout 5 confirmed to be in development. However, a release for Fallout 5 is not anticipated anytime soon, as it is planned to arrive after The Elder Scrolls 6, which is also still some time away from launch.
