Production on the second season of the action anime Gachiakuta is officially underway, with its official YouTube channel releasing a promotional video offering a first look at the new season. The teaser features characters such as Enjin, the Raiders, Amo, and Rudo in various scenes, hinting at the Information Broker arc where Cleaners and Raiders compete for intel on a mysterious item.

Gachiakuta's first season concluded in December 2025, having adapted up to chapter 87 of the source manga, which currently exceeds 170 chapters. At the current adaptation pace, a full 24-episode season would be required for the anime to catch up to the manga. While a release window for season two has not yet been announced, industry observers suggest a potential 2027 release, considering the typical production schedules of its animation studio, Bones.

The anime is based on Kei Urana's manga, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 2022. The story is set in a world where inanimate objects can gain special powers through proper care. It follows Rudo, an exiled boy who, after being left for dead in a wasteland known as "the Pit," encounters the Cleaners. This group utilizes supernatural weapons to combat Trash Beasts. Rudo's own powers eventually manifest, leading him to join the Cleaners in his quest to uncover information about his village and seek retribution against those who wronged him.

The animation for Gachiakuta is produced by Bones Film, a subsidiary of the studio known for acclaimed adaptations such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, and My Hero Academia. The first season was noted for its distinctive worldbuilding, compelling characters, and a unique graffiti art-inspired aesthetic. The announcement of season two in December 2025 coincided with reveals for a video game adaptation and a stage play.
