Curry Barker's horror film Obsession, which has garnered significant critical praise and box office success, is now available for home viewing. The movie was released digitally on premium VOD platforms, allowing audiences to rent it for $19.99 or purchase it for $24.99 from storefronts including Amazon and Apple TV.

This digital release arrives as a surprise, as the film is still playing in theaters and a digital release was not previously announced. A physical media release is also slated for July 14, with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions planned. While a streaming release date has not been confirmed, it is possible that Obsession could become available on Peacock later this summer.

Obsession tells the story of Bear, a shy young man who uses a supernatural toy to wish for his crush, Nikki, to love him more than anyone else. The film has achieved a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, positioning it as one of the year's highest-rated horror movies. This critical acclaim has been mirrored by its commercial performance, with the film having surpassed $300 million at the box office and currently standing at over $370 million globally.

In its review, the film was praised for offering an "original take on the possession horror movie." Its success places it above other notable 2026 releases such as Kane Parsons' Backrooms, which holds an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes and is receiving a re-release in theaters.
