HBO Max is set to debut a range of new content in July 2026, highlighted by the continuation of "House of the Dragon" Season 3 and the premiere of the highly anticipated Stephen King adaptation "The Long Walk."
New episodes of "House of the Dragon" will be released every Sunday throughout July, continuing the season's narrative which has already featured significant action and consequences for the warring Greens and Blacks. The series is HBO's major original offering for the month.

Francis Lawrence's adaptation of Stephen King's "The Long Walk" is slated for a July 10 release. The film centers on a contest where 50 boys must walk a long distance without stopping, described as a psychologically bleak narrative with "seriously brutal, R-rated violence."
July will also see the premiere of "Stuart Fails to Save the Universe" on July 23, a new spin-off of "The Big Bang Theory." This series will focus on comic book store owner Stuart as he attempts to restore reality after accidentally breaking an invention created by Leonard and Sheldon.
"The Drama," starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, will premiere on July 31. This film has been called "one of the most delightfully nerve-wracking rabbit holes you’re likely to tumble down this year" by critics.
Classic and Continued Content
Fans of horror classics can look forward to the addition of the original 1983 "The Evil Dead" on July 1, alongside "Evil Dead II" (1987) and "Evil Dead" (2013). This availability precedes the theatrical release of a new standalone "Evil Dead" entry.
Other films arriving on July 1 include "Army of Darkness," "Deadpool 2," "Hereditary," "The Mummy" (1999), and "The Usual Suspects."
Throughout July, HBO Max will also offer new episodes of various unscripted series from networks like Food Network, HGTV, and TLC, alongside documentaries and sports programming including NASCAR races and MLB games.

The service's future programming landscape may be affected by the pending acquisition of Warner Bros. by Paramount. While "HBO Max" is slated to merge with Paramount+ into a singular service, executives have also suggested that HBO might retain its independence. The $110 billion deal is expected to conclude by the end of the year. Current HBO Max subscription plans range from $10.99 per month with ads to $27.99 per month for 4K UHD streaming.
