House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal has teased that the popular HBO series, centered on the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, has more dragon-related events and creatures to reveal. Despite the frequent appearances of dragons and their riders, Condal suggested that not all the beasts from George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood have been shown.

Fans have noted that some dragons from the source material, such as the elusive Grey Ghost and the ferocious Cannibal, have yet to make an appearance in the show. While the Cannibal has been mentioned, its existence has not been visually confirmed on screen. These dragons, described in Fire & Blood as inhabiting Dragonstone, represent significant potential additions to the ongoing conflict.

In an interview with IGN, Condal addressed speculation about future dragon appearances. "No, look, there's a lot of runway left, and it is called House of the Dragon. It is The Dance of the Dragons. I think there are more dragon cards to be turned over as time rolls on here," he stated. This suggests that the showrunners are holding back more dragon-related plot points.

While Condal's comments do not confirm the specific appearance of Grey Ghost or The Cannibal, they do indicate that the series has more dragon-related elements to explore. The show has consistently portrayed dragons as powerful weapons of mass destruction, with their numbers and capabilities playing a crucial role in the strategic decisions of characters like Rhaenyra Targaryen. The introduction of more dragons could further escalate the conflict, though the volatile nature of these creatures also implies potential dangers for their riders and factions.
