Jim Caviezel, known for his roles in "The Passion of the Christ" and "Sound of Freedom," is set to star in the upcoming action-thriller "Ghost Soldier." The film's first trailer showcases Caviezel as a formidable vigilante employing advanced military technology to combat corporate greed.

Caviezel plays Henry “Fitz” Fitzgerald, a former Special Forces soldier and advanced weapons developer living a secluded life off the grid. His quiet existence is disrupted when a Bahraini-owned conglomerate, Brownstone Interworks, attempts to forcibly acquire land his community occupies. This conglomerate employs aggressive tactics to drive residents away, targeting the family of a deceased U.S. military veteran.

Fitzgerald, armed with advanced weaponry and stealth technology reminiscent of games like "Ghost Recon Future Soldier," becomes the sole opposition to the corporation's plans. The trailer features him utilizing an invisibility cloak and advanced night vision, demonstrating lethal proficiency with sniper rifles and explosives. His character is portrayed as a man of unwavering justice, delivering lines such as "God will judge our enemies; I’ll just arrange the meeting" and "Corporate tyranny is still tyranny."

The film appears to follow the successful formula of recent action movies like "John Wick," "The Beekeeper," "Nobody," and "The Equalizer." The narrative centers on Fitzgerald, described as an "old-school green beret with advanced military training," who is underestimated by the hired hitmen sent by Brownstone Interworks.

Directed by William Eubank, known for "Land of Bad" and "Underwater," "Ghost Soldier" also features Shea Whigham, Olivia Thirlby, Beau Knapp, and Garret Dillahunt. The screenplay was written by Chris Papasadero. The film is rated PG-13.
