Physical media collectors can soon add Disney's live-action reimagining of Moana to their libraries. A 4K steelbook and Blu-ray edition of the film are now available for preorder, with a release date set for October 6.

In addition to the individual 4K and Blu-ray options, a three-film pack on DVD will also be available, bundling the new live-action Moana with its two animated predecessors. While the steelbook and Blu-ray versions are currently listed, details on a non-steelbook 4K release are expected to follow.

The 4K steelbook features Dwayne Johnson as Maui and Catherine Lagaʻaia as Moana on its cover. The release boasts a Dolby Vision/HDR presentation and a Dolby Atmos audio track. Bonus features include a sing-along version of the film, featurettes on the casting and production process, and a look at the creation of the film's music and costumes.

Specific bonus features include "First Light," detailing the journey of making the live-action film; "It Calls Me," which covers the search for the lead actress; "Demigod," highlighting Dwayne Johnson's role; "Whole Family Proud," featuring reflections from the cast portraying Moana's family; "Motunui," about the production design of the village; and "Move As One," focusing on the choreography and representation of Polynesian dancers. "Island Fashion" delves into the creation of the film's costumes, and "Voices Return" discusses the collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Mancina, and Opetaia Foaʻi on the musical score, including the new song "Along The Way." The release also includes selections of the film's songs.

Fans eager to secure the steelbook edition are advised to preorder early, as it may sell out before its October release. For those looking to expand their physical media collections further, information on other upcoming 4K and Blu-ray releases is also available.
