Marvel Studios has unveiled the first trailer for "VisionQuest," the upcoming Disney Plus series that concludes the trilogy initiated by "WandaVision" and continued in "Agatha All Along." The trailer offers a glimpse into the activities of Paul Bettany's Vision following his escape from Westview, indicating a narrative arc that mirrors the personal struggles of Wanda Maximoff.

The trailer highlights the series' focus on both robotic and human iterations of Vision. While moments feature his superhuman robotic form, many robotic consciousnesses, including James Spader's Ultron, are presented in human avatar appearances. The series appears to delve into Vision's grappling with his own existence and the nature of his offspring, a theme explored in previous Marvel Television Disney Plus shows.

Marvel's official synopsis describes Vision as rebooted and in hiding after escaping those who intended to weaponize him. Seeking new purpose, he interacts with AI personas within his programming, such as F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and Ultron. His covert life is disrupted when a bounty on his head forces him to go on the run with Thomas Shepard, a young boy who may be Vision's reincarnated son. While evading capture, Vision must confront his own nature, resist Ultron's influence, and understand the mystery surrounding his companion.

Joining Bettany are James Spader reprising his role as Ultron, presented as both an evil robot and a charismatic middle-aged man. Ruaridh Mollica returns as Tommy Maximoff (also known as Thomas Shepherd/Speed), and Faran Tahir reprises his role as Raza from the original "Iron Man" film. The cast also includes Todd Stashwick as bounty hunter Paladin, T'Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as EDITH, Orla Brady as FRIDAY, Henry Lewis as DUM-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, and James D'Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S.

"VisionQuest" is slated to premiere on Disney Plus on October 14. The series serves as the narrative conclusion to the story that began with "WandaVision" in 2021 and continued with "Agatha All Along" in 2024.
