The fight choreography in Creed 3, for instance, drew inspiration from boxing anime like Hajime no Ippo and Megalo Box.
In a cover interview for the October 2026 issue of Vogue, Jordan shared that "some [anime] projects in early stages of development." He told the publication, "I might just quit it all and make anime the rest of my life," a statement the reporter described as "only half-joking."
Jordan elaborated on his passion for anime in a February 2023 interview with IGN, detailing how various anime series informed the visual style and combat sequences in Creed 3. He cited influences from Hajime no Ippo, Megalo Box, Naruto, and My Hero Academia, noting their distinct fighting spirit and the portrayal of bonds and relationships, which he sought to emulate in the film. Jordan even pointed out a specific punch in his fight with Damian that was inspired by Dragon Ball Z.
While details about his upcoming anime ventures remain undisclosed, Jordan is also set to star in the reboot of Miami Vice '85, scheduled for release on August 6, 2027. Additionally, he is collaborating with Christopher McQuarrie on a film adaptation of the popular Battlefield video game series, with the pair reportedly seeking a studio home for the project.
