Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour, known for their roles as Eleven and Jim Hopper in Netflix's Stranger Things, are set to star together again in a new spy drama series for the streamer. The project, from Adolescence creator Jack Thorne, has received a straight-to-series order.
Netflix has outlined a synopsis for the currently untitled show: "Disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe (Harbour) is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) — now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps — vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him."
The series is being produced by A24, with Thorne also serving as writer and executive producer. Producers for the show include Brown's husband, Jake Bongiovi, and her father, Robert Brown, through their family's PCMA Productions. Joe Hipps and Patrick McDonald are producing for Cut To, with KC Wenson also involved via Bravo Axolotl. Brown and Harbour will also executive produce.
Jinny Howe, Netflix head of scripted series for US and Canada, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love." She added that A24 is an ideal partner for the series.
Brown and Harbour's reunion follows their well-documented on-screen father-daughter dynamic in Stranger Things, which concluded with its fifth season in December 2025. Despite past media reports circulating rumors of on-set friction before Stranger Things' final season, director and executive producer Shawn Levy and Brown herself had dismissed such claims, emphasizing the strong friendship and professional respect between the actors.
