Anime continues to be a significant part of Netflix's content strategy, with the platform investing in exclusive series. Among its most prominent anime offerings is "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners," a prequel and spin-off to CD Projekt Red's "Cyberpunk 2077." While the game has seen a turnaround since its initial launch, "Edgerunners" is credited with a notable resurgence in the game's popularity.

At the Anime NYC convention, Netflix unveiled a new teaser and an official release date for the second season of "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners." The new season is set to premiere on October 20 and will follow a new cast of characters, including a washed-up legend named Weak, a revenge-seeking nomad D, the chrome-obsessed Talia, and a young cinephile named Roman. The 10-episode story will explore themes of family, obsession, and legacy, set against the backdrop of Night City.
