LEGO has announced a fresh wave of Pokémon-themed LEGO sets, with several new additions available for preorder now and scheduled for release in August and October. The collection includes builds of popular Pokémon such as Arcanine, Munchlax, and Rayquaza, alongside an up-scaled Red minifigure and a substantial Poké Ball set.
The Arcanine, Munchlax, and Rayquaza sets are slated for release on August 1. Later, on October 1, consumers can expect the release of the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball set and the up-scaled Red Minifigure.
While many of these new sets, including Arcanine, Munchlax, Rayquaza, and the Poké Ball, are recommended for adult builders, the up-scaled Red Minifigure is designed for children aged 10 and up. Younger builders can still tackle the more complex adult sets with assistance.
Piece counts vary across the new releases. The Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball is the most extensive set, featuring 2,386 pieces that construct a detailed Poké Ball display. This set opens to reveal a battle scene and Professor Oak’s laboratory, and includes minifigures of Professor Oak, a Picnicker, and Red, as well as figures of Pikachu and Eevee.
Following the Poké Ball set in complexity, the Arcanine set contains 1,190 pieces and the Rayquaza set has 1,083 pieces. The up-scaled Red Minifigure comprises 930 pieces, and the Munchlax set includes 757 pieces.
LEGO anticipates these new Pokémon sets to be popular. Preorders are available now, and fans are advised to secure their desired sets quickly to avoid missing out, as initial releases often sell out rapidly.
