The upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie has unveiled a new teaser trailer, offering a glimpse of the fan-favorite character Blanka in action. The brief clip features an "electrifying" confrontation between Ryu, portrayed by Andrew Koji, and a CGI rendition of Blanka, voiced by Jason Momoa. M. Bison, played by Dustin Dalmachian, is presented as the central antagonist orchestrating the fight. Blanka's attack on an imprisoned Ryu includes several recognizable moves from the video game series. These are depicted as his signature electrocution abilities, a powerful cannonball roll that damages the facility, and a dropkick directly from the classic Street Fighter games. This iteration of Blanka appears significantly different from the 1994 film's portrayal, which featured actor Robert Mammone in heavy prosthetics and body paint. Momoa's Blanka is described as feral and quippy. The teaser concludes with a brief visual of Ryu preparing to unleash his Hadouken fireball.

The film is set in 1993 and follows Ken (Noah Centineo), Chun-Li (Callina Lung), and Ryu as they participate in the World Warrior Tournament hosted by M. Bison. The cast includes other familiar Street Fighter characters such as Akuma, Dhalsim, Cammy, Vega, E. Honda, and Zangief, portrayed by a diverse group of actors. The Street Fighter movie is scheduled for release on October 16, 2026.
