Pokémon: Indigo League, the inaugural season of the long-running anime, is expanding its streaming availability with additions to Hulu and Disney Plus starting Friday, August 7. All 52 episodes of the first season, which originally debuted on Netflix in 2014, will be accessible on these new platforms.

The season chronicles the early adventures of Ash Ketchum as he embarks on his journey to become a Pokémon Trainer. Viewers will follow Ash as he befriends the initially reluctant Pikachu, explores the Kanto region, and forms lasting friendships with Brock and Misty. This arc also introduces iconic Pokémon such as Charmander, Squirtle, and Pidgeotto, and features memorable episodes like "Bye-Bye Butterfree" and "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad."

For those seeking to watch the entirety of the Pokémon anime, the Pokémon TV YouTube channel offers every episode from the early seasons, extending up to season nine. This includes the Kanto, Orange League, and Johto storylines.

In addition to streaming, Pokémon: Indigo League will be broadcast on Disney XD. An all-day marathon is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Following the marathon, episodes will air on weekdays at 2:30 p.m. and on weekends at 8 a.m., commencing Monday, August 10.
