Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is releasing a new novel, "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," which serves as a novelization of the upcoming movie of the same name. The book is currently available for preorder on Amazon for $32, with a release date set for December 8.
The novel follows Cliff Booth, a character portrayed by Brad Pitt in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." The blurb describes Booth as a "war hero, stuntman, bartender, cinema projectionist" navigating 1977 Hollywood and performing "clandestine services" for friends. This narrative is set eight years after the events of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
The movie, recently retitled from "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" to "The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth," is scheduled to hit IMAX theaters on November 25 for a two-week exclusive run before its Netflix release on December 23. It is unclear if the book's title will also change to match the film's updated name.
This is not Tarantino's first foray into novel writing. He previously penned a novelization of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," which received a positive review from The New York Times, described as a "pulpy page-turner." Tarantino also published a nonfiction book, "Cinema Speculation," in 2022.
