Ryan Gosling is set to produce a live-action reboot of The Flintstones, with the project currently focusing on a grown-up Bamm-Bamm. Gosling's production company, Open Invite, is collaborating with Warner Bros. on the film, which is in the early stages of development. The team is reportedly searching for a writer to tackle the script.

Bamm-Bamm Rubble, first introduced as a baby in the original 1960s Hanna-Barbera cartoon, is the young son of Barney and Betty Rubble. He was later depicted as a teenager in the 1970s series The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, where he formed a band with his adopted sister Pebbles. The character also made an appearance in the 1994 live-action Flintstones film.

Details regarding casting for Bamm-Bamm and the specific storyline are yet to be revealed, as the project is still in its nascent phase. It remains uncertain if Gosling himself will take on a role in front of the camera. Following his acclaimed performance as Ken in Greta Gerwig's Barbie, speculation suggests he could be a fitting choice for Bamm-Bamm, though his demanding schedule might preclude additional acting commitments.

Adding to the potential slate, a Barbie sequel is also a possibility. Given that Barbie was Warner Bros.' highest-grossing film, the studio would likely prioritize Gosling's return to that franchise over the Flintstones reboot. Open Invite is also set to premiere the romantic drama Love of Your Life at the Toronto International Film Festival later this year, starring Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
