A forgotten chapter of Simpsons history is being revived with the upcoming release of "The Simpsons Comic Strip Cavalcade." Published by Abrams Books, this hardcover collection compiles newspaper comic strips that featured the iconic characters and humor of Springfield. The strips originally ran nationwide in 80 newspapers from 1999 until 2004.

While The Simpsons phenomenon began in 1989 and quickly spawned a vast array of merchandise, including plush toys, video games, and apparel, the comic strip remains a less-discussed element of its expansive history. The strips were created by individuals working on The Simpsons comic books published by Bongo Comics, Matt Groening’s imprint, which ceased operations in 2018 after a 25-year run.

The Simpsons Comic Strip Cavalcade is now available for preorder, with its official release set for October 6. Abrams Books has provided an exclusive look at some of the 126 strips included in the collection. Among the featured panels are "How to Read Sunday Comics with Homer Simpson," "An adventure with Bart in his lucky red cap," and "The Unpossible World of Ralph Wiggum."
