Viz Media is launching a limited-edition collection that gathers all 24 Pokémon movies onto Blu-ray, available exclusively through Amazon. This comprehensive set aims to appeal to dedicated fans with its unique presentation, though its substantial price point may prove a barrier for some.
The collection's design includes themed discs for each film, stored within a hardcover book-style case. This entire package will be enclosed in a display-ready Poké Ball, intended to be a centerpiece for any fan's collection. This release offers an opportunity for fans to revisit the cinematic adventures of Ash Ketchum, preceding the franchise's upcoming movie, Pokémon: Wild Card, which is set to shift focus to the Pokémon Trading Card Game and feature a new protagonist.
Currently available for preorder on Amazon.com, the set is slated for release on November 24, 2026. However, some details on the Amazon product page remain scarce, with a listed release date of December 31, 2099, and no movie ratings provided. Fans are hopeful that the collection will include original audio tracks, accompanying short films, and various special features, although Viz Media has not yet confirmed these specifics.
Pokémon films have been a consistent presence for over two decades, typically centering on the original anime protagonist but rarely directly tied to the television series' continuity. The accessibility of these movies is often fragmented across different streaming platforms, making a high-definition Blu-ray compilation a potentially valuable addition for enthusiasts. This particular collection is exclusively listed on Amazon.com and is not yet available through other regional Amazon marketplaces. The retail price for this extensive set is $400.
