Select PlayStation Plus subscribers now have the opportunity to experience 007 First Light through a new free trial. This offer is available to members subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium or Deluxe.
The trial grants players access to the game's prologue and Bond's training sequences, which have been described as inventive and engaging ways to learn the game's mechanics and story.
007 First Light, released in 2026, has garnered significant critical acclaim. IGN awarded the game a 9 out of 10, praising developer IO Interactive's ability to faithfully translate the Bond fantasy into a game. "Demonstrably obsessed with bringing the Bond fantasy to life in a way no game has ever managed before, developer IO Interactive has found a highly successful home for the more curated action-stealth formula of 2012’s Hitman: Absolution," an excerpt from the review stated. "Patiently paced, First Light is brimming with Bond’s trinity of gadgets, guns, and girls in a way that feels fresh but reverent, and never like parody."
The game has achieved substantial sales, with over 4 million copies sold as of August 2026. IO Interactive has supported the title with post-launch updates, including a new game plus mode, and plans to release a new story DLC before the year's end. A Nintendo Switch 2 port is also scheduled for release in March of next year.
PlayStation Plus subscribers who enjoy the trial can purchase 007 First Light at a 40% discount, bringing the price down to approximately $42.
