Embark Studios' free-to-play extraction shooter, Arc Raiders, is set to feature an unusual collaboration with fast-food giant Subway. This partnership aims to offer players exclusive in-game outfits and items, coinciding with the release of the game's significant Frozen Trail update on October 8.

The promotion, which runs from August 20 to October 26, allows players to earn rewards by purchasing a qualifying Subway meal. Each purchase of a 6-inch sub, Footlong, salad, or wrap will come with a unique code. This code grants access to the original "Subterranean" outfit and one of three exclusive Subway-themed outfit variants. Additionally, the codes provide bonus in-game items that will rotate weekly throughout the promotion.

"A Subway meal can do more than fuel your day. For Arc Raiders fans, it can now help fuel their next mission," said Dave Skena, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer at Subway. "With an original Subterranean outfit, additional exclusive looks, and rotating drops of useful in-game gear, we’ve created a rewards experience that gives players something new to discover throughout the campaign."

Ashley St. Germain, Marketing Director at Embark Studios, added, "Teaming up with Subway felt like a natural fit, giving Raiders a way to fuel up before their next drop while unlocking a great lineup of exclusive rewards. The Subterranean outfit, designed from the ground up for this collaboration, gives our community something special to take into the fight as we head into Frozen Trail, our biggest update yet."

The Frozen Trail update is described as Arc Raiders' largest since its launch. Embark Studios is shifting its update strategy to focus on fewer, more substantial content drops. This update is designed to address community feedback and introduces a new map located in a harsh, frozen settlement. Players will also encounter new ARC threats with unique behaviors, a high-level challenge for experienced players, and expanded progression systems. The update includes a new Outpost for players to customize and use for research, along with modifications to the Skill Tree and Raider Decks to offer more player customization. Further additions planned include new weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and instruments, alongside ongoing improvements to matchmaking, anti-cheat, and overall quality of life.
