Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has sold over 3.5 million units, surpassing the publisher's annual sales expectations within its first 14 days. The remake, developed by Vantage Studios, launched earlier in July.

"The strong launch of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced in early July by Vantage Studios is an encouraging proof point," stated Yves Guillemot, co-Founder and chief executive officer of Ubisoft, in a recent financial report. "The game is the highest-rated Assassin's Creed title since the original Black Flag, and we are very pleased with the praise it received from players."

The sales figures represent a significant positive for Ubisoft amidst a period of broader company restructuring and layoffs. While the publisher's Q1 Net Bookings reached €256m, a 9% decrease year-on-year, the success of the Assassin's Creed remake is highlighted as a key contributor to exceeding overall guidance. The financial report also noted the strong performance of "Invincible: Guarding the Globe" as a significant factor in the company's revenue.
