Ubisoft is releasing Update 1.0.6 for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced tomorrow, August 4. The update will be available on PC and consoles, with file sizes varying by platform: 15.2GB on Xbox Series X/S, 5.03GB on PlayStation 5, and 1.8GB on Steam. The patch aims to refine the player experience with a mix of new features and extensive bug fixes.

A notable addition in Update 1.0.6 is the ability to hide Edward Kenway's blowpipe. Players can now toggle the visibility of this item from Edward's back via the "Hide Gear" option, accessible by pressing R2 on the outfit selection screen in the inventory.

The update also incorporates a significant number of bug fixes across various aspects of the game. The number of autosaves has been increased from five to ten, providing players with more options to load from earlier points in their progression. On PC, an issue that could lock cutscenes at 30 FPS when using custom graphics settings derived from low presets has been resolved. The tutorial for throwing money, which was previously missing due to a glitch, has now been added.

Further fixes address gameplay mechanics, including issues with leg sweeps on attentive or suspicious enemies, Brute Elites not charging players, and problems with hiring dancers. The functionality of the "Quick Use Rope Dart" has been improved, and players should no longer face difficulties assassinating drunk pirates in smoke. Naval combat also sees improvements, with fixes for enemy ships not dealing damage when ramming and for Edward's aiming in naval battles.

World interaction has been refined, with solutions for players getting stuck when attempting parkour between trees and walls in Kingston, or becoming stuck in free fall. Fast travel issues, including the ability to travel to unsynchronized viewpoints or captured forts in restricted areas, have also been addressed.

Progression and economy systems have seen attention as well. An issue where the Kraken wheel cost was listed incorrectly has been resolved, and the "The Benjamin" ship codex will now unlock at the correct quest progression.

User interface and visual elements have not been overlooked. The font for Simplified Chinese has been updated for better readability, and alignment issues in Arabic language settings have been fixed. Various animation, ragdoll, camera, and lighting issues, particularly underwater, have been resolved. Visual gaps in the Fort wall of Nassau have been patched, and clipping issues with certain armor pieces in strong winds have been corrected. An issue concerning PSSR not being properly enabled when using the same account across PS5 and PS5 Pro has also been fixed.

Localization has been improved with correct localization for "Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced" and the "Ed the Diver" Trophy/Achievement in Simplified Chinese. Audio fixes include addressing various missing sound effects and balancing certain dialogues in Simplified Chinese for improved audibility.

Several quest-specific issues have been resolved, including problems with character AI, objective triggers, and the availability of certain quests on Black Island. These fixes aim to ensure a smoother narrative experience and prevent players from getting stuck or missing content.
