Modders have continued to expand the possibilities within Baldur's Gate 3, with the latest effort enabling players to recruit Mizora, a character previously known for her involvement in Wyll's questline, as a permanent party member. This new mod, created by WorldWalker42, allows players to add the cambion to their crew during the RPG's third act.
Mizora can be recruited once players reach a specific point in Wyll's questline. Once added to the active party, she will appear in locations such as the Rivington, Lower City alley, and Elfsong campsites. The mod integrates Mizora by giving her unique dialogue lines that react to various story events and locations within the game. According to WorldWalker42, all new dialogue utilizes repurposed assets from the original game, and no AI was used in the development process. The mod was created using the official toolkit or a text editor.
The companion Mizora mod also includes a spell that allows her to transform into a human form, a feature that was present in the game's files but unused. Additionally, she will make an appearance in the epilogue, offering a letter that reflects on the player character's decisions. The mod is designed to be compatible with playthroughs where the player also controls Wyll, and it should not interfere with other mods that affect Wyll or his questline, provided they do not alter critical dialogue files.
This is not the first time WorldWalker42 has undertaken such a project; the modder previously created similar companion mods for Dame Aylin and Isobel. The efforts highlight the dedication of Baldur's Gate 3 modders in expanding the game's companion arcs without resorting to AI-generated content, a sentiment echoed by other modders like Magnetuning, who revamped Wyll's questline.
