Blackpink's Jisoo has confirmed that a distinctive outfit in the music video for her solo song "Addicted" was a deliberate homage to Ada Wong, a character from the Resident Evil video game series.

The music video, which was released over Halloween weekend, features Jisoo in a variety of looks. One particular ensemble, consisting of a black bob hairstyle and a form-fitting red dress, drew immediate comparisons from fans to Ada Wong, who is consistently depicted in similar attire across the Resident Evil games.

Fans noticed the resemblance and questioned Jisoo about it on her personal app. In response, the K-pop star confirmed the reference, stating, "I love Biohazard (Resident Evil) sooo much, so I wanted to copy it." This revelation highlights Jisoo's enthusiasm for the survival horror franchise.

Jisoo has previously expressed her fondness for Resident Evil, notably discussing her "addiction" to the games on the YouTube show Hot Ones. She described the series as fast-paced and engaging, explaining that its ability to present sudden challenges and require quick problem-solving keeps her attention.

This is not the first time a K-pop artist has been likened to Ada Wong. In August, Babymonster's Asa also drew similar comments from fans after posting images of herself in a black bob and red dress, leading to the fan-coined nickname "Asa Wong." While Asa has not yet commented, Jisoo's explicit confirmation solidifies the connection between her aesthetic and the iconic Resident Evil character.

In related Resident Evil news, Zach Cregger, director of the recent film adaptation, has expressed interest in contributing to future sequels, though not in a directorial capacity. The possibility of further Resident Evil movies remains open, especially given Capcom's stated commitment to expanding its intellectual property through various media, and the financial success of the first film.
