Capcom has announced robust sales figures for its first quarter of fiscal year 2026, with new titles Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem contributing significantly to the company's performance. The latest financial report reveals that Pragmata has sold over 2.5 million copies since its launch in April. The report notes that "the company built a fanbase for the game through robust promotional activities and other measures, leading to a favorable performance of over 2.5m units sold worldwide."
Resident Evil Requiem, released in February, has also demonstrated strong continued sales, surpassing 8 million units worldwide. These new releases bolster a successful quarter for Capcom, which also saw record highs in sales for its established franchises. The long-running Street Fighter series has now sold over 60 million copies cumulatively, while the Monster Hunter series has reached a total of 131 million units sold. The Resident Evil franchise remains Capcom's best-selling series, with global sales exceeding 213 million units.
This period of strong performance follows closely on the heels of other recent successes, such as Resident Evil 4 being recognized as the best-selling remake of the current console generation. The company is also looking ahead to the release of a new Onimusha title.
