Capcom presented its annual summer Spotlight showcase, offering updates on several of its key franchises. The digital event detailed an upcoming expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2, new downloadable content for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and revealed release dates and gameplay for other titles.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

The expansion, titled Dark Arisen, will introduce a new northern region named Norgan. The story centers on a fallen dragon and a woman named Eir who is hunting it. The expansion will feature 12 unique dungeons and an enhanced character editor. Players will also be able to find and appraise Relics in Norgan, which can be forged into powerful weapons and armor with special effects and skills. Prior to Dark Arisen's launch, an August update is scheduled to add more save slots, improve game performance, offer additional methods for managing the Dragonsplague condition, and increase the number of weapon skill slots to six.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection DLC

A new story DLC, Additional Side Story: Rudy, is now available for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. Priced at $9.99, or free for owners of the Deluxe or Premium editions, the DLC explores the origins of the Royal Feylne, Rudy, and his ancestors. Players can also challenge the elder dragon Nergigante. Those who complete the update with a saved game can face a more difficult version of the final battle, which, upon victory, transforms all existing monsters in the field into Royal Monsters.
