CD Projekt Red's modern Warsaw office, known for its extensive greenery, provided an unexpected sanctuary for a nesting mother duck this season. The Polish game developer shared that a mallard chose an open-air part of their headquarters to lay eight eggs, which she diligently protected throughout the nesting period. Studio staff reportedly provided the duck with ample space and quiet to ensure her peace.
The eggs successfully hatched in June, with CD Projekt Red sharing images of the newly emerged ducklings. Following the hatching, the entire duck family was safely relocated to a park in Warsaw. This relocation was conducted in cooperation with the Warsaw Municipal Guard Eco Patrol, allowing the ducks to continue their development in a more natural environment away from the office campus.
The presence of the duck at the studio, which features the largest green wall in Poland with 40,000 plants, has sparked curiosity. CD Projekt Red's office has garnered architectural recognition, even receiving a "residents' award" this year. The studio also maintains offices in Krakow and Wroclaw, as well as international locations in Vancouver and Boston. Among its upcoming projects, CD Projekt Red is developing The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, a remake of the original Witcher game, and a multiplayer Witcher title.
