Philadelphia police are seeking a suspect who allegedly terrorized residents while wearing a mask that resembles the iconic Chucky doll from the "Child's Play" horror franchise. The individual is accused of accosting several people over a roughly 20-minute period early Wednesday morning.

According to Philadelphia Police Captain Jason Smith, the suspect targeted both men and women indiscriminately. "He's targeting men and women, just whoever he appears to come across,” Smith stated. The incident reportedly began around 5:18 AM in the Philadelphia City Center. Authorities confirmed that the suspect was captured on surveillance footage chasing a female jogger and, at one point, allegedly held his phone in front of her while asking if she was “ready to die.” It is believed the suspect was filming these encounters for his own purposes.

One victim, who identified herself as Jameka, recounted an encounter where she managed to deter the suspect by kicking him in the chest. She described the individual as seeming disoriented and lacking a clear objective, noting that he did not attempt to steal her belongings. "I could tell that he'd never been in a fight before," she told Channel 6 Action News.

Surveillance footage later showed the suspect pulling down his face covering. While his eyes were visible, much of his face remained obscured by a black facemask and beanie. Police described the assailant as a male between 16 and 20 years old. If apprehended, the suspect faces charges including terroristic threats, harassment, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and intimidation.
