How to Fish, the debut title from developer Dazed Games, has achieved a significant commercial success on Steam, selling one million copies within its first two days of release. The co-op fishing game launched on August 20th, quickly becoming one of the most played titles on the platform. At its peak, How to Fish reached 268,101 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.

The game's rapid sales can be partly attributed to its accessible price point. A launch discount of 38 percent brought the price down to $4.95 USD until August 27th. How to Fish is a physics-based cooperative experience designed for up to four players. Beyond traditional fishing with rods, the game incorporates unconventional methods for acquiring seafood, including the use of firearms and explosives.

Dazed Games has indicated plans to expand the game with additional content and address any bugs. The game draws inspiration from a variety of genres, incorporating mechanics that reference shooter titles, such as rewarding players for executing difficult shots akin to Call of Duty's "trick shots." It also features a gambling mechanic for in-game currency.
