Pearl Abyss is running a new community event for its open-world action RPG, Crimson Desert, inviting players to submit their best in-game videos for a chance to win a trip to South Korea.
The challenge, dubbed the "Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge Event," asks players to capture and share their adventures in the game's world of Pywel. According to CM Grimnir's announcement on YouTube, the event aims to celebrate the creativity and gameplay moments players have been sharing since Crimson Desert's launch.
Players can submit videos of any theme, with options for both short-form content under one minute and longer, more cinematic submissions between one and three minutes. The primary requirement is that all footage must be captured directly from the game, and participants should be mindful of copyrighted music. Submissions are to be uploaded to social media channels with specific hashtags and then submitted via the official Crimson Desert website before July 12.
Ten winners will be selected to receive significant rewards. These include a fully sponsored trip to Pearl Abyss's Korea headquarters, covering round-trip airfare and accommodation for three days and two nights. Winners will also receive a commemorative golden coin and exclusive Crimson Desert merchandise.
Crimson Desert is approaching its three-month anniversary and has seen considerable success, with Pearl Abyss recently confirming over six million copies sold globally. The game's latest update, released last week, introduced new minigames, including a pinball game, alongside enhancements to the Re-Blockade feature, new mounts and pets, and various bug fixes.
