Apex Legends is set to host a major crossover event featuring characters from the popular anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The event will introduce skins based on key characters from the series, alongside thematic changes to the in-game map and new tactical items.
E-District will be transformed for the duration of the event, featuring neon towers and holographic advertisements reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077. Players will be able to find and use two new items inspired by the Cyberpunk universe: the Sandevistan, which grants a quick dash and shield recharge, and Blackwall Breach, allowing players to enter the Net for repositioning and an EMP blast that cracks enemy shields and reveals their locations.
Overuse of these powerful new abilities will trigger Cyberpsychosis, a state that significantly increases movement speed and melee damage but disables weapons, abilities, shields, and ordnance. To counteract this, players can find immunoblocker syringes or caches around the map to remove the Cyberpsychosis effect.
The crossover brings character skins for several Apex Legends characters. Sparrow will receive a David Martinez skin, Axle will be reskinned as Lucy, Rampart as Rebecca, Gibraltar as Royce, Ash as Lizzy Wizzy, and Loba as Panam. Male and Female V from Cyberpunk 2077 will also be available as skins for Crypto and Lifeline, respectively.
The Cyberpunk event is scheduled to begin on July 14th and will run until August 4th.
