Devora Wilde, widely recognized for her role as Lae'zel in Baldur's Gate 3, revealed that she was unaware of her participation in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 until alerted by players. Wilde, who has lent her voice to numerous video games including Solasta 2 and Crimson Desert, expressed her surprise in an interview with IGN.

"I started getting comments when the game came out, 'Oh, you're in Space Marine 2!' I was like, 'No, I'm not. What is that?'" Wilde recalled. She explained that it required investigating emails and matching codenames to confirm her role in the title. The definitive proof came when a fan on Twitter shared a clip of her performance.

Wilde's performance in Space Marine 2 includes multiple characters, such as a servo-skull and a Cadian soldier whose audio logs can be discovered. It was listening to one of these audio logs that solidified her realization: "I was like, 'Oh, that's me. I'm an audio log.'"

It is not uncommon for actors to have limited knowledge of the games they work on, often due to non-disclosure agreements and the use of codenames to prevent leaks. Wilde shared a similar experience with Silent Hill 2, where she performed motion capture and stunts. She only identified the game after hearing familiar dialogue and conducting her own online search.

Wilde has a notable history within the Warhammer universe, having previously voiced Tzarina Katarin Bokha in Total War: Warhammer 3, provided the Authoritarian voice option for the female Arbitrator in Darktide, and portrayed one of the Sisters of Battle in the Adepta Sororitas animation Penitence. "It just so happens that I've done a lot of Warhammer stuff," Wilde commented, adding that she has developed a greater appreciation for the breadth of the Warhammer universe through her work.
