Abrams ComicArts has released Doctor Strange: Endless Nightmare, a new original graphic novel that delves into the more cosmic and unsettling aspects of the Marvel Universe. The book, part of the ongoing MarvelArts series, features Doctor Strange battling both familiar and rarely seen adversaries in a story influenced by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Written by Kevin J. Anderson and illustrated by Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín, the creative team behind Dune: The Official Graphic Novel, the story kicks off when a patient at Stephen Strange's hospital claims life is merely a "dream of a sleeping god." This revelation coincides with a wave of insomnia sweeping the globe, threatening widespread chaos. To avert disaster, Doctor Strange must venture into the mind of the afflicted patient and embark on a psychedelic journey into the Nightmare Realm.

Anderson stated his intention to explore a dark, Lovecraftian narrative for the Sorcerer Supreme, incorporating an important villain from the Doctor Strange mythos alongside a character who had not appeared since his debut in 1964's Dr. Strange #122. The author expressed excitement in working within the established Doctor Strange universe for this tale.

Doctor Strange: Endless Nightmare joins other recent Abrams ComicArts publications, including Marvel Dimensions by Alex Ross. The graphic novel is available now in bookstores and online retailers such as Amazon.
