EA has officially acknowledged the recent leak of gameplay footage from its unreleased Iron Man game developed by Motive Studios. The acknowledgment came via the game's official X account, stating, "Well, that didn't go as planned."

Footage of the game, reportedly captured during a recent test, appeared online this past week. The leaked material showcased the titular hero in various suits and also indicated the presence of characters such as Pepper Potts, Obadiah Stane, and Madame Masque. This marks the first significant visual information about the Iron Man project since its initial tease in 2022.

Following the leak, EA's post further teased that "we've got a lot more to show you" and urged fans to "See you when we’re ready." While this response confirms the leak and teases future reveals, it offers no specific timeframe for when official gameplay or a trailer will be released. The studio reiterated that more content will be shown when they deem it appropriate.

Leaks of in-development games are not uncommon, with examples such as Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine and Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI also experiencing significant leaks prior to official reveals. These incidents often provide glimpses of unfinished work that developers were not intending to share publicly.
