EA Sports FC simulations have once again accurately predicted the outcome of the FIFA World Cup, with Spain emerging as the champion after defeating Argentina. This marks the fifth consecutive time the game's simulations have correctly anticipated the tournament's winner.

The prediction was initially shared on June 6 and came to fruition when Spain defeated Argentina one-to-zero. EA's official account on X congratulated the Spanish team, noting their "second star."

According to EA, Spain's national football team was simulated to lift the cup over 11 million times across both EA Sports FC 26 and its mobile counterpart, FC Mobile. This accurate prediction serves as a notable accomplishment for the simulation, especially as EA aims to build excitement for its sports titles.

This is not the first time EA's simulations have proven prescient. The series previously predicted Argentina's victory in the 2022 World Cup, France's win in 2018, Germany's triumph in 2014, and Spain's first World Cup win in 2010. This consistent accuracy highlights the predictive power of the game's advanced simulations.

While EA Sports FC no longer holds the official FIFA World Cup license following a licensing fee dispute that led to the rebranding of EA's football games, the series continues to feature an International Tournament mode that closely mirrors the real-world event, allowing for such predictive simulations.
