Embracer Group has outlined release windows for several of its anticipated video games, including new entries in the Tomb Raider, Kingdom Come, and Darksiders franchises. According to Embracer Group CEO Phil Rogers, Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the next installment in the Kingdom Come series from Warhorse Studios, and Darksiders 4 are all slated for release within the 2028 financial year. This means these titles are expected to launch between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028.

In addition to these future releases, Metro 2039 and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis are scheduled to debut in February 2027. Legacy of Atlantis is a remake of the original Tomb Raider, developed in Unreal Engine 5, while Catalyst represents a new direction for the Tomb Raider franchise.

Embracer noted that Metro 2039 is experiencing significant momentum, having achieved one million wishlists faster than any previous Embracer title. The company stated that wishlists for the first-person horror shooter continue to exceed expectations.

Warhorse Studios is also developing an open-world role-playing game set in Middle-earth, leveraging Embracer's rights to J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world. The studio, led by Viktor Bocan, design director for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, is working on this new project. Details regarding the specific era or setting within Middle-earth remain scarce, but it is expected to follow the established template of the Kingdom Come series. A release window for the Middle-earth game has not yet been announced.

Fellowship Entertainment, an entity Embracer is in the process of spinning off, holds the intellectual property rights for properties including Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Tomb Raider, Darksiders, Dead Island, Kingdom Come Deliverance, and Metro.

Separately, the real-time strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4, which experienced a delay, is now set to release in December 2026.
