The Epic Games Store is currently offering two free titles for PC players: the card-battler RPG Cardpocalypse and the Epic Mage Bundle for the MMORPG Albion Online. These freebies are available for a limited time and must be claimed by Thursday, August 27, at 11 a.m. EDT.
Cardpocalypse is described as a choice-driven RPG that aims to capture the essence of being a '90s kid. The game's premise involves a ban on a popular card game among elementary students, which leads to mutants from the game appearing in the real world. Players must build decks to battle these monsters and can also explore the game's roguelike Gauntlet Mode, where each playthrough offers unique challenges.
Albion Online, a fantasy MMORPG that has been available since 2017, is also part of the promotion. In this game, players craft most items, and their playstyle is determined by their equipped gear rather than a fixed class. The Epic Mage Bundle includes a collection of cosmetic items and in-game currency, valued at over $55. The bundle contains a Mage Adventurer Wardrobe & Mount Skin Bundle, a Spellbook Weapon Skin, Guild Customization options, a Mistwolf Mount Skin, 400 Community Tokens, 3 Scrolls of Fame, 500 Learning Points, and 10 each of Adept’s Focus Restoration Potions and Adept’s Tomes of Insight.
